Areas Of Practice

Employment and Workplace Law

Our firm handles the litigation of labor and employment issues before arbitrators and mediators in Virginia state  and federal courts for public and private employers, including, but not limited to, claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act, and state-law employment matters such as “at-will” employment cases, non-competition covenant cases, and occupational safety and health laws.

Our attorneys engage in mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings (including workers’ compensation, EEOC and OSHA matters).  We are involved in drafting employment contracts and employee handbooks.  In addition, we advise employers on hiring and firing decisions, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements and sexual harassment policies.
