Mr. Barnard concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice defense.  He also represents clients in the defense of legal malpractice cases and in general insurance matters.

Prior to joining Frith Anderson & Peake, Mr. Barnard was an assistant attorney general with the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia.  In that capacity, Mr. Barnard represented the commonwealth of Virginia, its elected officials, judges, and other employees in civil litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts.  He garnered significant appellate experience as an assistant attorney general and argued several cases before the full Supreme Court of Virginia.
