Over the course of her twenty nine years in practice, she has acquired a broad civil litigation experience, helping clients in employment issues and liability disputes. She was listed by Virginia Business Magazine among the Commonwealth’s "Legal Elite," specializing in employment law and litigation and recognized in 2011 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in its selection of Influential Women of Virginia.
Included in her skills are the following areas:
Linda has considerable experience working on behalf of employers in addressing their employment law needs. Underlying her representation is a strong principle of finding the right approach to achieve the employer’s goals. She has successfully represented employers in cases with issues involving Family and Medical Leave Act, Virginia Workers’ Compensation Act, Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, discrimination on the basis of sex, race and ethnicity, wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, defamation, assault and battery and others.
She has represented employers in state and federal courts across Virginia and in front of the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, Virginia Employment Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also lectured on many occasions on FMLA, Title VII, EEOC and Virginia Workers’ Compensation topics.
In addition, she has handled numerous civil litigation cases for clients involving claims of products liability, defamation, premises liability, trespass and many others.
